Honestly, I doubt any of those who have replied to this thread are qualified enough to know the full extent of what this doctor, and others have done.

I have to trust the experts, thats all I can do.
Oh please Fox News interviewed some and all they had to do was give their name, birth day and tell them how long they wanted to be off. There was no exam done

Med 21.03 Minimum standards for patient health
care records. (1) A physician or physician assistant shall
maintain patient health care records on every patient administered
to for a period of not less than 5 years after the date of the last entry,
or for such longer period as may be otherwise required by law.

(2) A patient health care record prepared by a physician or
physician assistant shall contain the following clinical health care
information which applies to the patient’s medical condition:
(a) Pertinent patient history.
(b) Pertinent objective findings related to examination and test
results.
(c) Assessment or diagnosis.
(d) Plan of treatment for the patient.
(3) Each patient health care record entry shall be dated, shall
identify the practitioner, and shall be sufficiently legible to allow
interpretation by other practitioners for the benefit of the patient.

---

So basically, docs handing out excuse notes could be found guilty of failing to maintain adequate records and/or failing to furnish those records in a timely fashion to patients. If they fudge the notes after the fact then they are comitting fraud.

Anyone in Madison who wants to bust these people, ask for a note. Then, request your records from the doctors at a later time. If they are unable to find those records, report them.

Apparently you have no informed discussion about it. There is no law. A standard of care is not a law. Sorry you got in over your head about this.

They are getting the notes because the board is taking them to court to make them prove they are sick. So guess these doctors thought " hey I'll go out there and give people the notes needed" Which is helping the teachers fraud the state for sick pay when in fact they were calling out to protest

They have already been reported from what I am reading from people in Wisconsin. Tea party people went on purpose up to get these notes and are turning them in

Mental stress is illness. Walker made many of these teachers feel mental stress!

Job well done!

They should wait, however, and later request their records to prove there was inadequate record keeping.
