No, it's just that rational people, as opposed to those who still worship the drunk Senator from Wisconsin, don't cower in fear at the mere mention of the word communist.
In case you have noticed, there are very probably many things in your house made in a COMMUNIST! country.

Today, yes. But look at it through historical context. What was the world and nation like in that time period and how would his voters have reacted back then to someone who wanted to be senator seeking out meetings with south American communist and renting brothels?

Same answer.
I never did care much for McCarhyism.
And our leaders talked to commies all the time. I hear there is even still a red phone in the Oval Office that got used from time to time.
I've talked to them too. Does that make me a commie? How?

And what would America be like now had we not suffered the great paranoia over communism and not gotten involved in the needless entaglement of Vietnam?

I for one have no problem with anybody talking to anybody.
Clue to the Clueless: HE IS DEAD! GET OVER HIM ALREADY
Casper
So you think only live people should be discussed. even though history is suppose to teach us lessons. Hitler is dead should we not discuss the failures that lead to ww2. Kennedy is dead but we need to learn from what he did. Having the Audacity to rent a brothel should be a warning to all people to keep an eye now on our government. Perhaps had we known about this he would not have killed Mary Jo as his career might not have developed.
get over someone and the lessons history teaches, i would prefer not to stick my head in the sand but if you like i can dig you a big hole
