I always thought they were, too. Kind of an excuse for cops to go and have some fun...then arrest some people. And get $ millions.

Almost every strip club in the country is breaking some law, one way or another.

I had a friend of mine who was a cop in Detroit, and he said they could bust any club they wanted to, whenever they wanted to, because there was always something going on there.

Its all about kickbacks, and taking care of the government officials. If you keep your head down, and pay your kickbacks, you can stay in business. If you don't, then they'll raid you and find some reason to shut them down.

Someone opened a strip club not far from my hometown, and it stayed open until the kickbacks stopped. Then it was "well women are dancing completely nude", which they had been doing it all along. So two years later after the business owners had enough, it was shut down.

City councils and local police are just a mob under a different name.

If people want to make this country great again, then abolish all of these stupid laws, put in restrictions to how close you can build gambling, prostitution, and liquor selling facilities to schools and children, and turn loose the reigns. Fire half of the police that we don't need. The extra tax revenue and savings from the cost of enforcement of the Christian agenda would save local communities and state governments enough money to balance their budgets.

Of course then politicians couldn't make extra money on the side......

Correct. But I'm not sure it's due to the "Christian agenda". Telling others how to live is much more important to other religions. And a lot of our drug laws were started by racial agendas.

We need about half as many cops and jailers as we are paying for now. Get government out of the business of telling us how to live our lives and everybody wins.

I do understand why men frequent strip clubs, no brainer here, but being a women always felt that the strip clubs, were a front for something much more going on, that is just my way of thinking. Don't the mobs own most of the strip joints. That would explain things for sure.

yes for sure at one time it was all mob controlled, in NY anyway money laundering very easy with a cash business, lots of drugs, etc. Today..who knows. Organized crime is nothing like it use to be. It is spread out amongst a lot of different groups.

Not any strip club I would bring a date to would fit that description . There are sleazy clubs, but the ones I would bring someone to are not. Many are corporate, they are clean (environment and dancers), good lighting, very little skin contact and fun! I was actually at one last night with a date. It was her first time and she had a blast even though she was over tipping the girls!

Maybe the City can't give police a raise due to lack of money, so they allow them to investigate strip clubs.

I think i understand about the sleazy versus a classier joint. First i feel that a women has to feel pretty good about herself to even go into a strip joint, feel that i do, because yes i still have a good figure. But that still has nothing to do with it. I would go for the fun of it, probably get drunk myself, and hope my husband was not having too much fun. I have never been, the girls would not bother me, i have a great personality, and would probably make the girls laugh.

A lot of women i believe equate Strip-Clubs to cheating men, problem being is that the Men have probably already started cheating, if they are going into the clubs. I happen to know a few men who work and visit the clubs, but to vent steam beause of their jobs, what happens after that, well it is their business. Life is short, perhaps hubby and I should visit one, then i will know for sure.

Thanks about the Mob situation, i guess it use to be where the mobs owned must strip joints.
