Packer v Hastings
I'm reading through this and am amazed at a few things.
1. The amount of travel back and forth to Europe that he did. It was every other month. He oversaw elections in Ukraine. Why? Our taxpayer dollars are at work.
2. I'm not saying she's at fault - but I am amazed she let this go on for 2 years, even jeopardizing her health from stress complications. Is this "normal" for women to handle this type of situation in this manner - where she continually complains to people not helping her - and continuing to allow the hugs and the other advances? What am I missing here?
I'd be interested in some women to help me out on her reaction to the advances and threats on her job.
3. She had an $80K salary. With per diem, it ballooned to $165K. That's one heck of a per diem.
4. The pay to play aspect even at that level. Hastings was put off because he didn't get gifts or a donation from her. So she donated $1,000. In the midst of being sexually harrassed, so donates $1,000 for fear of retaliation. Amazing to me - but that's why I'm asking for input.
