Minnesota Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann on Tuesday reintroduced the "Light Bulb Freedom of Choice Act," a bill to repeal a 2007 law mandating that incandescent light bulbs be phased out.

"The government has no business telling an individual what kind of light bulb to buy," she said in a news release Wednesday.

Politicians are so full of ****. It's pretty sad that there should be a bill named "Light Bulb Freedom of Choice Act" in this day and age. It really shows how corrupt government is.

The European Sovietunion already banned incandescent light bulbs btw, then along came some German guy who simply started selling them under the name 'heat balls' for warming your house with having the side effect of emitting light as a waste product: Skirting EU law: The rebranding of incandescent bulbs as 'Heat Balls' | MNN - Mother Nature Network

I'll be stockpiling incandescent bulbs before the ban.
I absolutely hate those curly-cue bulbs.
How do environmentalists see these hazardous
pieces of crap to be an improvement?
Isn't mercury in the landfills a problem?
Good luck if ya break one in your house.

Nothing is more of a joke than the environmentalists. They are always in someone's pocket pushing an agenda to make fat cash off their current whine.

Ethanol was another one that turned out to be more damaging to the envionrment. We have already been stocking up on incandescent bulbs.

Seriously...now they say the flickering from the new bulbs can cause migraines, sleep disorders, and seizures?!!

EF this! I would only use them for outside lights at best. I think it's total b.s. they want to shove these into everyone's homes.
