The Repubs have outed themselves for the Pawns they really are, some us ae not surprised by their true nature since we knew all along. What is amazing is to watch their sheeple defend them even when it means they are going get in the rear just like everyone else, nothing like blind loyalty to your masters to make a person look even more foolish than they already looked.
The good thing is that now that the GOP Pawns are out in the open and exposed to the view of all the voters they are dooming themselves politically. Let's just hope they do not do too much damage or the Liberals will stuck with cleaning up even more of a mess left behind by the righties and the are not even done cleaning up te last mess left behind by the righties.

Yeah, they're serious about fiscal austerity as long as the poor and middle-class pay for it.
"While progressive governors have proposed raisingrevenue from those who can afford it, alongside painful cuts to programs, Republican governors have unveiled budgets that cut taxes for corporations and raise them on the middle-class and working poor."
Of course, I'm not surprised in the least, but, then, I would have known better than to vote for any of these toadies.
"Calamity?" Most GOP governors inherited hundreds of millions and, in some cases, billions of dollars of beudgetary deficits. You want to talk about calamity? When you Lefties use such hyperbole I am reminded of teenagers caterwauling when their parents cut up their maxed out credit cards.

How is tax cut bad? Just because the tax cut is not directly at you, it doesn't mean the working class don't benefit.
For profit company only have 1 motive, that is to maximum profit. When they tax rate is reduce, that mean they have more cash. Cash they will use expansion or R&D. Or even pay out bonus or pay increase.
I just don't understand why when cutting tax for other, you will be hurting.

Because the states have to make up the revenue they will be losing by giving tax cuts to the corporations.
A simple example:
Corporation A used to pay $500,000 per year in taxes. That money paid for some number of people on a police force. With the tax cut, the corporation will now pay $250,000 per year.
So, $250,000 less per year for that police force.
That leaves two options: either some of those people lose their jobs or the money is raised some other way, most probably(as per the link) via higher property taxes, higher state income tax, higher sales tax or via cuts to services - schools, mental health care and so forth.
And yet, somehow, there is still enough for these governors to essentially give lots and lots of it away to their corporate donors.
Like it or not it's the corporations that hire people.
States are all vying to attract and keep business which in turn employee the poor working class you are trying to defend.
Do you know how many businesses are relocating to Texas ?
Not because we're going out of our way to lure them here but because our taxes are low compared to many states up north.
And we do need those relocations because everyone and their brother seems to moving to Texas these days. Texas is the new "Grapes of Wrath" Utopia for many.
In reality though we're hurting just as much as other states..big budget cuts and over 8% unemployment. But that's not stopping many from coming here anyway.
Sure helping business is great. I am a small business owner myself. Strong small business is probably the strongest driver behind stable local economies.
However, it's not this simple. Choices have to be made , and my inclination would be to help the struggling middle class before helping business. The middle class is being squeezed simultaneously by rising commodities prices, rising oil prices, a budget crisis that's (realistically) going to result in both loss of services and higher taxes.
Instead of continuing to squeeze the middle class, I'd like to see the loopholes removed that allow corporations to skip out on paying their fare share of taxes. Realistically, I'd also like to see taxes raised a bit on those making $250K a year an up.
If you're in the middle class, you really should think about supporting what I say above instead of mindlessly supporting a pro-business mantra that benefits the wealthy investment class at the expense of yourself.
If we let the dems have their way in NJ, the middle class would have had tax hikes. Christie is keeping them from doing it. So that blows your myth.

Sorry, the king of conservative fiscal theory has proven that the emperor has no clothes:
