It is funny watching the RW reactions when the President gets a conflict response correct. It's particularly embarrassing to them, that it is a Democratic President.
It's even funnier watching the LW hypocrits cheer as Obama has committed an impeachable offense by attacking another country without congressional approval.
Even funnier still is watching florid.bob try to delfect and avoid answering previous posts when he is clearly wrong.
What's not so funny is watching these same people cheer because the president has a (D) after his name as we fight for one side in a conflict when we don't even know who is on that side.
And Obama never once said that Libya was a threat to the US nor did he run a campaign trying to paint mental picture in the public mind of "a mushroom cloud over an American city."
He said up front that it was a mission to prevent Qadaffi from slaughtering civilians in eastern Libya, as Qadaffi stated was his intent. The UN security council acted. The US responded to the UN request and NATO allies have now taken over the bulk of the heavy lifting.
You seem to be eager to see China taking the lead in world affairs. Why do you hate America?
The U.S. was never obligated to do anything and Obama acted illegally without congressional approval. That wasn't even anywhere close to a good attempt at deflection. What else have you got?
What nations took over the US role in Iraq? Oh, we're still there 8 years later...
This just in:
NATO considers expanded role in Libya
As NATO prepares to take over responsibility for the no-fly zone in Libya, the 28-member alliance on Sunday was also debating a separate plan to expand military actions in the country at war. NATO's military committee approved an operations plan early Sunday that would shift the entire Libyan mission to alliance command, including rules of engagement. This technical approval now requires unanimous political consent from all members before NATO officially takes the operation over. As NATO ambassadors prepared to meet Sunday evening in Brussels to discuss the plan, NATO sources said it was not a done deal and divisions remained about if and when to engage in airstrikes against Libyan ground forces. At the same time, NATO was putting the final touches on its takeover of the no-fly zone over Libya. The handover from the United States and allies should be complete by Monday. NATO officials described the transition as phased and seamless operation.

Call the sheriff.
The War Powers Resolution of 1973 (50 U.S.C.1541–1548) was a United States Congress joint resolution providing that the President can send U.S. armed forces into action abroad only by authorization of Congress or if the United States is already under attack or serious threat.[citation needed] The War Powers Resolution requires the president to notify Congress within 48 hours of committing armed forces to military action and forbids armed forces from remaining for more than 60 days, with a further 30 day withdrawal period, without an authorization of the use of military force or a declaration of war. The resolution was passed by two-thirds of Congress, overriding a presidential veto.
