Think.
Here is a nice response someone wrote in that thread.

So many all knowing comments from people who most likely have never even been to Detroit. Blaming the decline of Detroit on a political party is just silly. The shrinking and decay of manufacturing cities the world over can not be pinned on any one factor. There have been a combination of changes in the way the whole world does business. Some places reinvent themselves and thrive some falter. Not all of Detroit looks like these photos, and not every resident is looking to move out. The Detroit of 2021 will look very different. Right now it's impossible to say for better or for worse. The story of Detroit is written by the people who live here, not people pushing a political agenda on a national scale.

In my opinion Detroit should downsize, tearing down out sections of the city with high vacancy rates and densify the core. Good place for urban farming too. Of course the problem is where will this money come from.

The urban farming sounds interesting and I've seen it done in a couple of neighborhoods on a smaller scale (just a bunch of neighbors getting together to do it). Just have to make sure the soil quality is safe. Didn't know it then, but where I lived as a kid, there was lead contamination in the soil.

Just wondering, would anyone be interested in going to an amusement park in Detroit? I'm thinking it would be a good money-maker and job creator.

Maybe......

The casinos are full.

The Joe is always sold out for the Red Wings games.

I'm thinking it's too close to Sanddusky's amusement park which is huge and a very popular destination point.
