The self-proclaimed "Conservative" Party of the United Kingdom is anything but conservative. They need a real political party that is actually conservative, not this whole "we call ourselves conservative, but are actually just British Democrats." In fact, they should have a right-wing Libertarian Party, like America has, since that would be even better. There needs to be a political party to restore Britain, by unbanning firearms, creating a better free market, put an end to school uniforms and strict dress codes, and stop conforming to the Muslims. If they're lucky, they might even be able to privatize healthcare and higher education.

Maybe the problem isn't with the UK the problem is with the U.S. It is amazing how many other developed nations manage to control guns, provide healthcare for all its citizens, make education affordable and available to all. Hrm, I wonder how big that list would be - oh I know - all the developed nations besides the U.S.

They need one badly, to control the influx of Radical Muslims. The same can be said for other countries in Europe facing the same problem.

The Tories do have a hardcore social conservative right wing called the Cornerstone Group. It has very little influence because the religious right in the UK is minimal. Cameron belongs to the moderate wing of the party, which is the most dominant. Imagine the US GOP if the Northeastern moderates were firmly in charge and the social conservative bible-thumpers were marginalized. There are some Tories I'd characterize as libertarian like Alan Duncan and ex-Thatcherite Michael Portillo.

The Liberal Democrats have a libertarian wing which Clegg belongs to, which probably will be absorbed into the Tories.

As for the latter, there's the UK Independence Party, although its support is quite minimal.

The British National Party is right wing authoritarian on social issues but on economic issues is well to the left of Labour.

As for privatizing health care, that would go down as well in Britain as gay marriage would in South Carolina. Even Thatcher left the NHS alone. The only mainstream UK politicians who called for privatizing the NHS were Labour MPs, as they're able to get away with it politically more than the Tories.

There is no such thing as an influx of Radical Muslims hence no need to control it.

It's amazing how many resources a country can free up when the United States provides their security.

Anyway, your premise is silly. Everyone in the U.S. gets an eductaion untill they are 18 years old. Health "care" is provided to anyone that needs it. And we don't have a gun control problem.

From what, gobins? Elves? Seriously, from what?

If the USA vanished tomorrow, the remaining NATO/EU countries would have about 35 % of the military budget of the earth! Massivly overengineered to any non-paranoid. The whole whine about "we provide security" is basically a moan from the military industry to try to get the innumerate to support them in selling more weapons that are less and less relevant.

The UK, Germany and France totals a bigger military budget than RUssia and China combined.

And in many other countries there is no cutoff at 18, only your own drive and ability limits you. Health care is certainly not provided to "anyone" in the US, emergency care is provided -in the most expensive manner possible. Guns...the US murder rate would seem to indicate there is a problem. A severe one. Whether it is a problem with gun control or gun owner control is a different issue.
