hooligan............Pssssst.
Cowpunk - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This is what first came to mind...........http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQDbi6X2AuauG1y8X9e0lVI9zebTx7vJ F7VUZyHYZILWryt1FU3 (broken link) Thanks for your help, the only band that I was familiar with was Los Lobos.

JetJockey.........Actually... Cowpunk has been around since the late 70's around the time that rockabilly was starting to make a commercial comeback. Think twangy Hank Williams meets the sex pistols. I played in a cowpunk/psychobilly band for a while and boy was it fun
Thanks, I get the vision......guess I was more into Billy Idol I'm a "Bocephus" fan, guess I'll have to check it out.

As for hip hop, basically none of my friends listen to it as a genre and I'm 27. I suppose it all kinda starts sounding the same after a while musically which is why I don't listen to it, except maybe sparingly. Will it fade? Probably, but it will most definitely evolve into something new, just as rock has done.
Music does keep changing. I feel that with todays music their not playing instruments, the talent of Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Heart and AC/DC just isn't there.

The voices of Rhythm & Blues!!

Each generation has it's music memories, now don't we.

Hardcore gangster rap will die when the action, crime, and drama genres of television and cinema dies.

Hurting your pockets, dropping your stock to zero profit/
Holding heros hostage in mansions for ransom like D'Nero mob flicks/

That's a joke if I ever heard one.

Hip hop is fine; I even listen to some.
New genres keep you young.

Polka rap is dead; but it never should have existed to begin with.
i will now say words I thought I would never say to you. I agree with you 100%

Disco is a better example of a music genre that disappeared. Some say it happened in Chicago's Comiskey Park on Disco Demolition Night 1979.
Disco NEVER disappeared. In fact, it only got bigger. What happened at Comiskey changed nothing.

Rock isn't dead by any means. It has actually grown and split into many genres. I suspect Hip-Hop will change too.

Hopefully it is here to say.

But the plus side of it going will be hearing parents say to their kids, "Bah. What's this crap you're listening to? Back in my day, we had real artists. We had musicians that meant something. Little John, now THAT was music!"

Not saying that it isn't. I was just poking fun at Little Jon and his fans.

I'm 26, I'm not exactly some guy who thinks anything made before 1980 is irritating noise. I love Afroman for Christ sakes.
