This false idea is merely to promote class warfare within the voting public who are uneducated enough to actually believe this load of BS.

The so called rich people that say they want to pay more in income taxes should do so if they are so inclined to do it. Or, even better they can take the same money they would pay in more taxes and donate it to charity specifially aimed at helping the poor and indigent. Bypassing the government bureacracy would directly help those in need much faster and more effective than any gobvernment program could because government programs needs government workers that diminishes the direct amount of the money that can be funneled directly to the cause(s) of the poor.

Therefore, anyone who falls for this class warfare and jealousey are being merely duped by the government propaganda and other supporters of the ineffective government programs to confisgate more money from those who would rather do their part through private caharties rather than ineffective government programs. If the poor haven't been lifted out of poverty since the LBJ war on Poverty over the last 50 years, it will likely never work.

Wake up...private charities do a much better job than government in helping the poor to help themselves out of poverty. Jobs help the poor help themselves out of poverty rather than government boondoggles. Government has failed to eliminate poverty and will likely never get the job done. How much longer than 50 years should we wait ? 50 years is proof enough for me that the "War onPoverty" through government programs is one giant FAILURE.

Then the OP admits that the robber barons have been the poor and this is just a change.

Grading on a curve that is suitable for a random Kansas newspaper editorial, I'd say the article is good.

He gets a bit indignant, but it looks to be fairly accurate criticism of GOP policy over the past 30 years; I didn't see anything that stands out as incorrect.

I don't trust the opinion of anyone who uses the term "class warfare." That is a loaded word. This so-called "class warfare" is an inherent state of all human societies; it is who we are.

Classes are always fighting amongst themselves for a bigger piece of the pie, and it is dishonest to try and shame anyone for that by itself.

Furthermore, there's more to this than just rich and poor, and there's more to government confiscation of purchasing power than just federal income taxes.

A loaded word? It's two word "term" meant to divide the electorate.

Fine. If you don't understand the term class warfare, you likely fall into the latter part of the sentence.

If you do, then you are being disingenuous to say it is a shame and dishonest because the politicians elected by both parties do it in every election. Obama's last national campaign is a excellent example, and one could see it in almost every campaign appearence.

So, unless you don't vote for either major party, you may have a case here in terms of the current wave of some independent politicians, but otherwise, you are merely whisling past the graveyard here.

So, I suppose it is now politically incorrect for YOU to use the term "class warfare" but sorry, not for me, and many others, who recognize a campaign shill and strawman when we see one.

I can't address your last stament because it is irrelevant to me since I never raised the issue of income tax only here.
