I hope all, both Dems and Repubs, realize that this birth certificate release is all about politics and timing. Notice what topics right now are getting the most attention on this very board - Obama's birth certificate. This certainly helps to deflect from record high gas prices, the upcoming budget debate, the debt ceiling, and the continued high unemployment rates.
Remember, everything a politician does is about political strategy. If you really believe that his release was done due to media pressure, Trump, or anything else, that is quite naive. Additionally, if you believe that the concerns of Republicans about Obama's policies are no longer valid due to this release, you are equally naive.
This is about politics and deflection and nothing more. Try to get above the sensationalism and actually remember that we have very real concerns in this country right now and make a determination of if Obama is actually doing anything to help or hurt us during this time.
Well, that's seems easy enough. Now, if the 'so called' MSM had done their job four years ago this would never have been an issue and saved us all a lot of grief.
Well, saved the leftards a lot of grief. It's been amusing for the rest of us.
1) Why is his father's nationality listed as "African"? Africa is a place (a continent), not a nation ... there are however many nations in Africa. In 1961 Kenya was still a British colony and thus his nationality would have been listed as British.
It's not. The only place African is said on the BC is the father's race.

2) Why is his country of origin listed as "Kenya, East Africa"? In 1961 Kenya was still a British colony and it's official name was the Colony and Protectorate of British Kenya.
Because, just maybe, that's where his father was born?

These two things lead me to question the document that was released this morning.
Because human beings fill these forms out.
When I was born my father provided the information to a nurse about what my name should be. My middle name was supposed to be my grandmother's. My father had no idea until I went to college that the nurse changed my middle name. Evidently, my grandmother's name was too ethnic, so the nurse "Americanized" it.
There is nothing that requires hospital personnel to use an official name or nationality.
It only took him 2 years to release it, enough time to fabricate a real good one, so do you believe it's real?
Also, what took him so long, since he was supposed to be so "transparent"?
The PDF looks like the document is on some kind of roller... like toilet paper. Maybe that's why the 'lame stream' press has refused to touch it for four years.
Not really racist in my opinion. I think after all this Trump HAS to run otherwise he will just seem to be a attention who re.
Thank you, you get repped for that. As far as him running, my first choice would be Ron Paul, butI don't think he's going to have the financial backing. I think out of the other GOP posibilities, Trump would do the best job as POTUS, and financial backing for campaining isn't an issue.
This is EXACTLY why it didn't matter whether or not the president released the "long form" birth certificate or not. The nastiness of the Republicans, Tea Party and the racists is unquenchable.
President Obama could have released a video of being born in Hawaii with Jesus standing witness while cutting the umbilical cord and the "Birthers" would still insist that he was born in Kenya.
Some of these people really need to take a good long hard look in the mirror and really ask themselves why they are so willing to believe this nonsense "birther" theory simply because President Obama is a man of color. You need to accept the fact that you have a non-White person in the White House. President Obama will not be the last person of color in the White House....get over yourselves.
Boo hoo.
Are you not aware John McCain was sued over his eligibility to run for president?
sure, many will peel off, but the people behind the movement will keep feeding the loons that will listen. this Corsi guy has a serious rewrite, I'm sure... as written that book is now worthless.
you would think the GOP would want to stamp this birther BS out quickly. the longer it drags out with the long form out there the dumber the whole birther thingie looks to main stream America. The GOP would be wise to change the subject.

We're talking about Republicans here! Not a surprise!
