Reminds me of a great Sheryl Crow song.....

"Watch out sister,
watch out brother,
Watch our children as they kill each other
with a gun they bought at the Wal-Mart discount stores."

Huh, I didn't know they ever stopped. I bought a 44 Mag S&W 329PD revolver there last year.

So who's going to buy them anyway? I thought Wal-Mart customers were running out of money? Must be a different clientele!

As the son of a well known gunsmith who managed a gun store for almost 30 years, I appreciate the sentiment....

Which was of course a liberal lie in the lyrics to promote the gun banners agenda. If you believe everything Ms. Crow tells you then you are only using one square of toilet paper too.

While I agree in principle, it's hard to do when you are looking at over a $200 difference on a $1000 gun.

I try not to sell out my principles. I know these local gunshops have had it hard and are there to support the sport shooters and hunters. They are not fair weather friends. I don't sell out my friends.

most wally worlds on the east coast don't seem to sell guns, but i can't recall any in western or midwest states that i've been in that don't have at least a small selection of rifles and shotguns.

My friends don't mark-up prices over 20%. I support reasonable small businessmen, not opportunists.

They certainly do in Fairbanks.
