Most Muslims view these extremists as evil who are distorting and perverting their religion. At least that is what Ive read and heard. If we can agree that these type of terrorists are indeed hijacking a religion and twisting it, using it to kill innocents, going completely against what Muslims tell us Islam is about shouldnt we then not even consider Muslim sensitivity?
After all, they are not representing Muslims. They should not get special treatment. That means no special burials, no special treatment and privileges while being held that would normally be given to a Muslim.
I dont know, I can see arguments against this but I hate to see these men who are obviously evil terrorists twisting a religion to murder innocents get special treatment based on something they are not.
Do they take infidel-sensitivities into account...?

I would have gone farther and cut up his body and fed it to pigs. That way he is utterly destroyed in the most horrific way imaginable to a Muslim. If such a thing were our policy I believe it would deter some people from becoming terrorists.
The liberals claim a separation of church and state. The govt should IGNORE anyone's sensitivities. OBama did not care about offending Christians on Easter.

I agree that it is more than some of these awful people deserve. On the other hand we need to show the world that we are anti-terrorist and not anti-muslim.
I'm not sure if Israelis would love the idea of seeing their burial wrapped in pig skin. What do you think?

I'll admit, i'm a cold-hearted bastard who is forward leaning when it comes to heavy handed justice. I don't begrudge a bullet to OBL's brain (vs. a trial) and I wouldn't cry if they had strung him up by the balls from the Statue of Liberty for the world to see.

The idea about desecration of bodies, since you didn't get it the first time around. Jews are in the same boat as Muslims when it comes to pigs, no?
If not burying him immediately served more of a purpose for us than would be lost, that would be fine. I think the religious sensitivities of all groups are tip-toed around too much. But if it's easier to dump him at sea and be done with it, why invite trouble?
