My sister sees in Head Start that 20% of the youngsters coming in have mental problems related to drugs and alcohol consumption of the parents.
Execute the drug dealers and makers that sell recreational drugs.
Take wealth from users.

Need to have a big message saying ENOUGH ALREADY GROW THE F'ING UP!
No one is saying that drug use is safe but really...

Yeah. And execute the Board of Directors at Coca Cola for all the illnesses and deaths (obesity, diabetes, heart disease) they have caused. RJ Reynolds? Death penalty for sure. Budweiser? Ditto. McDonalds? Check. Pfizer? Check. etc. etc. etc.

Oh, BTW: I'm on jury duty next week, and I can assure you that if it is a drug possession case, they will be not guilty.
Yeah we see it in action getting out to you and others daily and the great blessings it brings to everyone around it.

Yeah but if you go to prisons where violent offenders are locked up, it is pot mixed with other stuff that got them there, not cola, McD or common sense.

There is a big market in the USA due to Libertarians and stupid other drug users.

Enjoy the related fruits of drug use. You fund this around the world when you use, not counting the destruction to the family around you here.
Are you too stupid to understand that the violence you point to as caused by drug use is actually caused by the black market created by prohibition?

The hardcore drug warrior mentality that you support is the direct cause.

Start confiscating the wealth of the user and they either will learn to grow up or they will remain broke. You can even give all the money to the DEA.
Start getting the growers and dealers hit with the death penalty and maybe they will bypass us for Canada and France.

This is an epidemic.
Go to southeast Los Angeles and you find most all the kids are getting into recreation pot and other drugs. They get to maybe the 5th grade then drop out hard.

How can you have a rational conversation with a person who wants to literally murder people who make certain consensual decisions about their own body?

Those people are a clear minority population wise. The vast majority of pot smokers are blending right in and you can't tell who they are.

Regarding the other dangerous but legal activities...I believe you are missing the point. Anyway,if legality is the only issue, then legalize it. That will allow the government to regulate it and reduce our dependency on foreign markets, thus reducing the supposed negative effects on the foreign populations. If health is the issue, then we better start outlawing all that other crap because it is killing as many, if not more, people. Isn't that the bottom-line?
