Why is America so obsessed with the sex lives of others? If everybody in America was straight, what then? Would that make society better? How?
If that wouldn't improve society why worry about the sex lives of others? Don't you have anything better to do?
For the same reason that you feel the need to deny your sexuality.

Does that mean that asexuals would not exist either? If so we may never have gotten AC power transmission.

Why don't we flip it around, if every American were gay, the birth rate would drop to near zero, and we would not survive as a nation, due to zero population growth.

There have always been gays, always will be gays, even if everyone were straight, there will always will be people who are reproductively sterile, and people who never married or never produced children.

Unless you think being gay makes them somehow different then other people, beyond them simply not producing children.

And yet there exists "non-gay" organizations whose sole purpose and existence revolves around studying gays, gay sex, gay pornography, gay parades, etc.... all to make proclamations and press statements against gay people, gay families, gay relationships, gay sex, gay rights........

REAL MEAN are comfortable enough in their own sexuality to NEVER have an opinion on someone else's sexual preference, beyond it personally not being appealling to them.

For example, sex between overweight ugly people absolutely repulses me to the point of wretching. But, many on this board are both fat and ugly (which used to be a "deviation from the norm, but is now unfortunately becoming "normal"), and wouldn't take too kindly of legislation, demonizing, etc. designed to limit "ugly fat people" relationships.

Real men are comfortable with their masculinity, not ashamed of their gender, don't bash their gender, are happy in their monogamous relationships, and don't seek friendships with the opposite sex.

Nita
Can you give me one example from the bible of a marriage between one man and one woman?

I know many women and I've never heard one say it and there are groups against just about everything Homosexuals are not special when it comes to that.

Everybody has an opinion and that’s how it should be.

I'm sorry you are repulsed by overweight people it kind of makes you're post hypocritical.

Positive: Lady Gaga, Kathy Griffin, Margaret Cho, Perez Hilton and Glee wouldn't be famous/popular.

Negative: South Park would have lost out on all of those great Mr. Garrison storylines. The Birdcage never would have happened.

At least the Westboro Baptist protestors would have to cut back on their slogans.

The reason Christians are against acceptance of homosexuality in America is because they fear accepting it will invoke God to wrath upon this country. It's a common saying in evangelical circles that if God doesn't destroy America he owes Sodom and Gamorrah, which he destroyed by fire and brimstone, an apology. It's the evangelical belief that homosexuality is the worst sin and that it's the one sin God will wipe a nation off the face of the planet for tolerating. That may sound laughable to most people here but it's what I grew up hearing every Sunday for 22 years. So when people are bigoted towards homosexuals, in their own twisted way they are doing their part to save America.
