Your profile would seem to indicate you are pro-Palestine and endorse physical assault on the US POTUS. Hamas, a terrorist organization backs Palestine and is supplied with arms by Iran. So, why do you support terrorism against Israel when you claim not to?
Yes, I'm pro-Palestine. Lots of nations besides Iran give aid to the Palestinian authorities, including the United States. What's the big deal about that?
Fair enough point. If they're God's people, as so many conservatives erroneously believe, how can anything bad happen to them anyway? They shouldn't even need an army, right?
It's as if the Zionists are screaming, "USA, help us, because God won't!"
But the Old Testament is clear: "Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God." Psalm 20
and "Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts." Zech. 4
It is you that have misunderstood the current situation except in the case of some ultra-orthodox groups.
What's difficult to understand about "thou shalt not kill" and "thou shalt not covet other people's possessions"??
Before Zionism existed, Jews in Palestine lived in relatively peaceful conditions with the Palestinians. The conflict became serious and real when the "state" was granted in 1948. Pretty simple to understand why.
Also, there are (thank God) many Jews who are "modern" and yet do not support the current situation in Palestine. Whether Palestinians in the future will decide to accept the "state of Israel" or not is up to them; but until the Jews that believe in "thou shalt not kill" become the majority, we'll continue to have problems.

Your post needs a correction. The conflict became "serious and real" well before independence in 1948.

You're right. It probably started around the turn of the century. I was just referring to the fact that Jews in Palestine lived in a general state of peace until the "state" was made.

Prior to 1948, Palestine was governed under the British Mandate--another way of saying "colonialism." Most of the present countries in Africa were a lot more peaceful under colonialism than they are today, too. So why not just cut to the chase and say what you'd like to see is an absence of sovereignty? (And do you also advocate this for the United States?)
Well I'm NOT Pro Palestine, as far as I am concerned they haven't gotten along since long before Islam existed, we shouldn't be borrowing money to give it away is Stupid.
