The missiles/rockets of today have higher capabilities than in the past which would make the 1967 armistice lines but much more difficult to defend than in the past.
I just heard what you say about 1967 from a man on TV and do think you are both right about what was actually said but I still think that the 1967 point is from the Hamas leaders and we all know why they want that.
Israel is our ally only in the sense that they have not attacked us.
Other than that, they are more than willing to take the money we give them and then go merrily about their business and do what they want, whether it hurts the US or not.

I wonder how many of the Muslim nations that Obama promised money to yesterday will be giving any of the money back. None of them are allies but they are tools we try to use against the rest of the Arabs.
The israelis know that they have been used by us to control the Middle East for a long time and therefore consider all our help to be something done in repayment for being a buffer.
The Palestinians had been there for several generations. The Jews had been in Europe for probably a hundred generations. Yet that land was given to them as their "homeland", thats crazy.
The UK doesn't have generational claim to any land in the middle east.

As we have no duty to continue pouring billion$ into the region with little/no benefit to the US. I agree, none of our business, let the countries of the region determine their own fates.
But do you look at the fact that the Israelis intend to fight it out with weapons that so many here think all came from the US. That source is not really true any more than some of the weapons that will be used against them but I think I can guarantee you that they will fight with the centered purpose that any trapped animal uses. They may lose but they will take a huge number of Muslims with them.

You should be glad the government isn't sending bulldozers to clear up "the mess" you live in because it feels that the property could be better utilized by a certain sect.

And of course he will sit there and take that kind of crap without pointing out that they have been our buffer against the Muslims of the Middle East for over 60 years. I wonder if Obama has anyone to tell him the real truth about all this.
