Republicans in congress defend DOMA which is the EPITOME of what it means to violate the constitution,

republicans defended and STILL defend DADT (unconstitutional and NOT LEGAL in any way unless BEING BORN with the homosexual orientation is a crime, in which case they need to arrest all children who are gay the second they discover that their existence is a crime. If it's not a crime there never was ANY legal basis for 'not letting' law abiding citizens who meet ALL of the PHYSICAL and MENTAL requirements join the military )

Tennessee republicans pass a 'don't say gay' law in the public schools. (violates the constitution and tries to make gay people feel like our sexual orientation is too shameful to mention, also likely adding to gay teen suicides.

There you have it BLATANT< and PUBLIC and REMORSELESS proof that the republican party seeks to VIOLATE the constitution on a daily basis.

NONE OF these things are constitutional unless a state of being is a crime.

How can ANY republican NOT admit that their party is discriminatory the proof is out there EVERY DAY and it's not like there's even an attempt to cover it up!

Because the Republicans are over-run by the religious right.

Because, fortunately, there's a stigma attached to being perceived as a bigot in American society.

I agree, I believe the Republicans should come out and be honest about what they really believe, instead of playing all these political games.

They believe that homosexuality is dangerous to the integrity of the American family. That it is immoral and dangerous to the well-being of humanity. That it leads to a life of emptiness and unhappiness. And it leaves a score of problems whereever it touches, from public restrooms, to marriage, to adoption, to public health issues such as STD's and who is allowed to give blood, and on and on.

They should come right out and say, homosexuality is bad for America, it is bad for society, and we want to do everything we possibly can to limit it. If that requires the sacrifice of the few to save the many, it is worth the cost.

Maybe many conservatives and religious people are not pagans ethically (for those wanting to make fun of them)?

Marriage is special between a man and a woman.

Gays should have their special unions.

There should not be special laws for gays, and they should be allowed to work without problems and so forth.

Most people don't care what people want to do or how they want to live.
Marriage is a sacred institution between a man and a woman.

Well this is a little embarrassing. "Progressives" criticize conservatives on the "gay thing" while bowing and apologizing for their Muslim allies, who have their own........unique....views of gays.

Lotsa lulz!

Progressive, liberals, communists, socialists also love to kill babies forming in the womb in the name of.....
A right to choose death for their baby.

They do seem to take harsh stands more so than conservatives.

We never want to see harm to gays and such, but that gay had better not be in a progressive mom's womb, the chances of being aborted would be way up over being in a non-progressive mother.

They are too cowardly to stand behind what they believe. Instead they repackage it so people won't realize what bigots they are.
