^ by your figures it's obvious the Military spending is what's killing us! $1.4 trillion dollars! Rescind the tax cuts for the wealthy and raise taxes to Clinton era levels!
I love how all of the right wingers scream about the deficit yet their only solutions is to go after grandma's Social Security check!
Oh, by the way? all income should be taxed for SS and just not stopped at the $106,000 marker!

Please point where I said that... thanks.
What that data shows is $2.66 trillion spent on mandatory spending. That would mean military isn't considered mandatory. So why is Obama continuing it? Probably that oath he took when he took office.
Also that data should show you we took in $2.567 trillion in receipts.
Get rid of the entire military and you'd still have a deficit. Get rid of the Bush tax cuts and it's balanced budget time for the few months before the economy crashed because you took military spending out.
You see, we have a problem. We're hedged no matter which way we go. If we save on welfare we lose on GDP. If we save on healthcare we lose on GDP. If we save on military we lose on GDP.
To not lose on GDP we have to take even larger budget deficits.
Some might say we're spiraling already.

- End the Bush tax cuts, which haven't done a thing to create jobs like was promised.
- Cut the defense budget. We grossly outspend every other country in the world. Plus, we can bring our troops home from Iraq and Afghanistan (though Obama is already doing this).
- Some entitlement reform is likely needed, but we don't need to gut the programs as some Republicans want.
The "Bush tax cuts" expired last year. These are the "Obama tax cuts".
There seems to be a universal sentiment among liberals that no entitlements should be cut, despite our debt and deficit problems. In fact nearly every liberal is emphatic that medicare, social security, and medicaid should not be cut at all and simply blame George Bush for fiscal problems. Blame- but no answers.
Should we just keep all entitlements the way they are and let anarchy eventualy unfold? Keep in mind that we could balance the budget if we taxed the rich at 100% (slavery) and we cut the military 100%, which some liberals have actually suggested.
Any solutions, or just blame?
1. End the Bush Tax cuts
2. Remove the cap from the wage tax, which takes care of Social Security
3. a fifty cent per share tax on eac stock trade
You repubs ever stop whining?
You realize its going to cost you the next election as the majority of Americans view the right as a bunch of whack jobs and whiners, just skim through the "Politics and other controversies" section to get a view of yourselves, seems to be topic after topic of rightwing whining/Obama bashing, devoid of serious content but very entertaining stuff on par with aliens landing and the whereabouts of Elvis..
I'm amazed theres any sky left to fall
I guess you got your answer. Problem? What problem?
