We did, and the thought of Al Gore and John (I served in Vietnam) Kerry was sufficient enough for us to pull the other lever.
No regrets at all.
Bush could have used your support towards the end of his second term. Even I was feeling bad for that guy for his own party completely disowning him, running an "anti-Bush" campaign. It was a pathetic sight by any measure. But I knew, the 15-20% of his staunchest supporters were surely hiding somewhere...
I was thinking, "Dear God, please don't let America be stupid enough to let that Alaskan Twit anywhere near the Red Button".
Prayer answered.
I am still thankful, partially because Obama has done a good job, and partially because I am confident he will finish the job he got elected to do the first time during his second administration.
Yes, we need more debt and gas to be at least $6 a gallon. BO will do his best to get us there.
This goes out to you folks who voted for Obama in Nov. 2008, what were you thinking when you pulled that lever in the voting booth?:
Were you thinking, “Ya know, our national debt is waaay too small, we need to add a few more trillion to it ASAP.â€
Were you thinking, “Two wars in the Mid East is just not enough! I hope 0bama starts a third war."
Were you thinking, "I hope 0bama steps up the war in Afghanistan with 30,000 more soldiers and widens the war into Pakistan and increases missile attacks from Predator drones.â€
Were you thinking, “Gee, I hope 0bama doesn’t repeal Bush’s Domestic Spying Program."
Were you thinking, "I hope 0bama keeps Gitmo open, and maintains rendition of suspected terrorists.â€
Were you thinking, “I really hope 0bama increases the unemployment rate to 9% or 10%.â€
Were you thinking, “Golly, I really hope 0bama starts printing trillions of US dollars, to monetize our national debt.â€
Were you thinking, “I hope 0bama keeps the Bush tax cuts in place.â€
Were you thinking, “I hope 0bama renews those civilian contracts for Halliburton and Blackwater.â€
Were you thinking, “I hope 0bama cuts $500,000,000,000 from Medicare.â€
Were you thinking, “I hope prices for a gallon of gasoline soar to over $4.â€
Were you thinking, “I really hope 0bama runs up at least 1.5 trillion dollar deficits each and every yearâ€.
Were you thinking, “I really, really, hope 0bama signs legislation that makes it impossible for businesses and unions to support health care insurance for their employees or union members.â€
Please think, in 2012.
Actually, I was thinking..."gawd...is THIS what we have to choose from?" I voted for Obama because I was afraid that with McCain's poor health at the time, we'd end up with Caribou Barbie in the White House. So I voted for what I felt, and still feel, was the lesser of two evils.

Not sure what you are speaking of .... I would gladly have done 4 more years of Dubya then either BO or McCain, though I generally support the idea that 2 terms is enough for anyone to be President. The things I disagreed with Bush the most over were supported by BO and/or McCain (ie amnesty for illegals, too much spending).
Heck the way so many love to blame everything on Bush anyway it might be easier. At least we'd all know where he was and what he was up to at all times.

I was thinking that he was the far better choice over McCain and Palin- I also believe that if he wasn't elected we would be in a far worse situation now than we are- anyone who voted for a ticket that had Palin on it is someone who should rexamine their thought processes
