"An 8-year-old autistic boy died during a prayer service at a Milwaukee church that the pastor said was meant to heal him of "spirits," and the pastor's brother is facing child abuse charges, police said Sunday."
"The adults formed a circle around the boy and placed their hands lightly over him as they prayed for him, Hemphill said."
"[They] were just praying for him and asking God to deliver him from the spirit that he had," Hemphill said. "The little boy had spirits in him, and we was asking God to deliver him."
It's 2011 and adults are really doing this? The brainwashing it must take for a normal human being to think these fairytale stories of "healing" work must be incredible.
Ditto for liberal/atheists who ridicule religion every chance they get.
No real details are given, other than they were praying for the boy. There is no harm in that. No one knows what caused the boy's death and autopsy results are pending. The pastor's brother was arrested because of "probably cause" of child abuse. Details are sketchy as to what might have happened.
Sad story. Desperate people fall for desperate measures.
Autistic kids have also died during chelation therapy, a non traditional medical treatment for autism. The theory is that heavy metal toxicity causes the autism and these "DAN" (defeat autism doctors) doctors (but not necessarily medical doctors) administer chealation agents to remove the toxicity.

Nonsense... Tell that to my father who actually HAD polio back in the forties. Thanks to Dr. Salk and the vaccine he invented, neither me nor my children are in any danger from it.......
Nothing wrong with prayer for someone who is sick, but we have an obligation to utilize the best medical technology we have to treat them at the same time....
