Sativex (GW Pharmaceuticals) and Marinol (Abbott Laboratories) are a couple of drugs that have been developed. Sativex is basically a cannabis tincture that you could make at home.
I do think it's high time (pun intended) that it was at the least decriminalized.

The trouble with synthetics is that there are some effects of the plant that can't be simulated.

Why make a pill out of something that can be eaten naturally with no effects already?

Its kind of like making a Vitamin C pill, when you can simply eat an orange.
