That is it! Besides, it will give the tourism industry a huge boost!!

Agreed. You cant produce more and more cheap goods and services and force americans to buy it when their assets and 401 ks have been decimated

Regional malls typically include department stores along with fashion and general merchandise retailers and range in size from 400,000 to 800,000 square feet (37,000 to 74,000 square meters), according to the International Council of Shopping Centers. The Reis data also include super-regional malls, such as the Mall of America in Minnesota, South Coast Plaza inSouthern California and Tysons Corner Center in Virginia, which are defined as those larger than 800,000 square feet.

Huge regional malls are filing for federal bankruptcy protection Chapter 11. vacant and in the red for over 2 years now.

These loans are backed by the full faith and credit of the US taxpayer i.e. the American worker. Like they are now...........but instead of the interest flowing into the hands of private banks there would be little to no interest or it would flow back into government coffers and spent into the nation's infrastructure or invested in a sovereign national wealth fund. I say we also need to nationalize a good chunk of our national resources i.e Alaska, mines, oil, natural gas. Kick these multinational companies out and put ownership in the hands of the many instead of the few.

But having proposed those ideas I'm sure many of you will go into an adolescent knee jerk reactionary rant of how that's big bad socialism...........
Why should the taxpayer back ANY loans? Your entire idea leads me to believe you have a faulty understanding of how credit works.

Hey Mr. Leftwinger, hasn't your president once said that Americans consume too much?

Raise taxes! Leaving people with less to spend is a sure fire way to stimulate consumer demand!

I like the idea of legalizing marijuana. It would be a bumper crop for farmers, and I think it is something that a lot of people are really high on it.

Ban gay marriage? How about expand it? The number of weddings would go up, and lots of gays have money to spend. Seriously, cut the price of gasoline. A month holiday from gas taxes.

Better ads. We just don't want stuff badly enough. Add more sex, more violence, whatever it takes for us to reach into our pockets and maximize our spending (debt) power.

Legalize prostitution. Add parking in the rear of the establishment for the Baptists.

Yes a few along with years of straight commission sales and before that ran several lemonade stands on busy streets as a little kid for starters.

I feel sorry for all the Economics majors who are only being taught Keynsian Economics which does not and has NEVER worked. No WONDER our country is such a mess. All our so called "experts" (except for a few who are laughed at who are the ones who REALLY KNOW AND UNDERSTAND --like Ron Paul for starters) follow Keynes (however if they ran their household the same way, they'd be in hock up to their ears). I'm sure they aren't THAT stupid to run their households the way they advise Obama.
