“Given that half of all euthanasia cases in Belgium are involuntary, it must be only a matter of time before the organs are taken from patients who are euthanized without their consent,” Saunders told The Telegraph. “The matter of fact way the retrieval process is described in the paper is particularly chilling and shows the degree of collaboration that is necessary between the euthanasia team and the transplant surgeons – prep them for theater next to the operating room, then kill them and wheel them in for organ retrieval. All in a day’s work in Brave New Belgium. Doctors there are now doing things that most doctors in other countries would find absolutely horrific.”
I don't think it will be long before we're using our own stem cells to create organs for our bodies - zero chance of tissue rejection that way.

Did I read that right? They're involuntarily euthanizing people in Belgium? When you think about it, it's really no different than what we have over here. People are involuntarily euthanized daily in the USA also, it's called murder.
I have heard that in China prisoners are executed right outside hospitals and the bodies wheeled in immediately for organ retrieval. No organ donor consent necessary. They just take them.
If euthanasia is legal to those who chose it, should we not use their organs if they signed off on that?
In Belgium, lets be real, many who have had the plug pulled may have been involuntary, but its because they are brain dead.
That happens dozens of times in this country on a daily basis. Then, if the person has not pre-signed an organ donor consent, a family member or other designee can sign for organ donation if they choose.

I agree, but I think the OP is trying to scare people by thinking if they go into the hospital with a broken foot, that they'll be put down so someone in the top 1% tax bracket can get a lung.

I'd call many in Washington "brain dead." Can we pull their plug?
