THE last year and a half has brought a rapid sequence of reversals in the Obama administration’s policy toward oil and gas exploration on public lands and in United States waters.

Any fool knows that the US must expand domestic production of oil, natural gas, and coal. But Obama is not just any fool- he is a monumental fool.

It leaves one to wonder............... do liberals enjoy $6.00 gasoline and higher prices? With the predeliction for high unemployment and lower wages, it leaves one to speculate that perhaps liberals just like being miserable.

Fine, drill away, but don't freak out when we have another oil spill.

There are a lot of people who actually bought into the GOP implication that expanding the drilling permits now will result in lower gas prices next week. That is the sad truth displayed ^^ and among too many others. Expanding domestic production, will help years from now, but I think doing it safely, is more important in the long run.

Would the people of the county I live in be considered NIMBYs if they start to welcome drilling once again? If so it appears to me that they wouldn't feel the same as east coast NIMBYs are. There has been a hot time in the old town because of the natural gas under our feet and all of a sudden oil exploration companies are leasing all the land they can. This has been caused by the fact that they are using a slanted form of drilling that is making oil much easier to get at.

Anyway, when you go to the courthouse and the halls are full of fools working over their computers and it turns out they are all trying to lease for drilling it seems the NIMBYs aren't living here.

Is there a difference in doing it safely and not doing it at all, which seems to be costing us all some money? I don't think that Obama and his Interior Dept. know that there is a severe difference.
