I was just listening to Coast To Coast AM and they were discussing the Supreme Court case on video games and R rated movies. Some goof called in and while he was not in favor of kids seeing those movies or playing those games, he was terrified that if a Tea Party or a republican were elected President we'd have strict censorship based on christian values. Of course he said he was an athiest. So yeah, they have their anti christian agenda and project their own intolerances onto those they identify as being intolerant. He was fear mongering and paranoid, what a sad way to live.
You can be an atheist. But do you have to be so antagonistic to christians? You don't like it when they( or anybody else) try to force their beliefs on you so why do you turn around and do exactly the same thing? When most athiests start actually living up to the principles they say they have, maybe they'll gain more acceptance. That goes for anybody trying to change society.
Yeah, and all conservatives go to church, read their bible and are just falling all over each other to show how much they love Jesus. I didn't know I was going to hell because I'm a liberal.
All men fall short.
Does not lower the value of the goal or espousing it as a goal or aspiration.
I agree with that statement for the most part. Sure, there are Liberal Christians, but at the end of the day the basic tenets of Liberalism do not square with God's word.
If it's legal, then it's moral. That pretty much sums up the views of American Liberals.

"If a Tea Party or a republican were elcted President, we'd have strict censorship based on christian values." That is called a theocracy and it IS scary!

Just another indication of how far gone the GOP is now.
Since embracing the kooky "religious right" a couple of decades ago, it's been all downhill.
Try being a churchgoer. Try being told that in order to be a good Christian, you basically have to vote Republican. I hate when religion and politics get mixed up.
Its really more of a young vs old thing than a liberal vs conservative.
