I trust all you Bachmann supporters who believe in a smaller less intrusive federal government are paying close attention..
Quote:
Michele Bachmann became the first presidential candidate to sign a pledge created by THE FAMiLY LEADER, an influential social-conservative group in Iowa. By signing the pledge Bachmann “vows” to “uphold the institution of marriage as only between one man and one woman” by committing herself to 14 specifics steps. The ninth step calls for the banning of “all forms” of pornography. The pledge also states that homosexuality is both a choice and a health risk. You can read all the details of the pledge here.
This is exactly why the Republicans lose and will continue to lose. People out here are hurting for JOBS and all they want to talk about is abortion, pornography and marijuana. And I will say it again- IF they nominate a religious conservative or a far right candidate like Bachman or Palin, Obama will easily win a 2nd term despite his poor leadership. If they nominate a moderate conservative pragmatic such as Pawlenty or Romney they will win next year. The top 3 issues are jobs, jobs and jobs. That is what I want hear. Not abortion.

Pawlenty's got no chance. A 2x4 has more charisma than he does. The country would have to be totally bankrupt for him to win.
Wow. Can't she focus on the American economy, budget crisis and foreign policy instead?
No. Because to get the GOP nomination she has to appeal to conservatives and not to middle America. Middle America cares about the economy. Conservatives are more concerned with moral issues.
