I was in the mood for pancakes this morning. Since I have never mastered the art of pancake cooking I headed into town to a place that makes very good ones. There was an old-timer at he next table, even more of an old-timer than I. We started chatting and the topic of Obama came up . The old man told me that Obama's problem is that he's a post turtle. I waited.

Then the man said, "When you're driving down a road and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that's a post turtle. You know he didn't get up there by himself, he doesn't belong up there, he doesn't know what to do while he's up there, he's elevated beyond his ability to function, and you just wonder what kind of dimwit put him up there to begin with."

It's the history of Obama's presidential campaign and presidency in one paragraph.

Hmmmm

1. No candidate ever got elected by themselves
2. He belongs in office since he was fairly elected by the citizens of the USA
3. I highly doubt anyone on this forum could do as good or better as president (if you think you could, run, and we'll see how that works out
4. See number two. How un-American to refer to the majority of your countrymen as Dumbasses

Well, I never saw this in reference to President Bush. I didn't agree with many of the man's politics and beliefs, but I said I respected him for standing by what he believed in; and I also feel the office of president deserves a little respect. Criticism is fine and to be expected, but I think there are mature ways to do it.

I don't feel this thread was that bad, only a minor insult to our country and it's citizens.

The turtle in the picture is cute I like turtles
