I have to say russia builds pretty decent fighter jets and the F-35 without the help of stealth sucks since the russian built a plane to rival the F-22 and I would not want to get into a dog fight with one of the SU-35's

I don't know when, but eventually it will go completely off the cliff.

We are headed for a complete societal collapse in the coming weeks. There will be street riots, mass starvation, death, and destruction. Think the 1992 Rodney King riots x100 and in every city and town across the country. We will see monthly job losses between 5-10 million going into Q4. The Dow will collapse to 3,000. The end is coming soon. The only hope we have is if somehow congress agrees to raise the debt limit, but even that will only buy us time. Bottom line is we are all doomed.

I do too, but right now our elected officials are putting their own personal interests above the interests of our nation, and are risking the most spectacular collapse of a nation in nearly two millennia. We have until Aug 2nd. Every day it feels like we are sitting on a ticking time bomb and there is nothing we can do about it. My family owns a farm and I am prepared to move back and live off the land when this all goes down.

"Quantity has a quality all its own" Joseph Stalin

The F-22 has been capped at 187 planes. The F-35 procurement is shrinking due to cost issues. Meanwhile MiG and Sukhoi designs are being copied and built around the world. We have been spoiled by the fact that our last two major military engagements (Iraq, Afghanistan) were against opponents with insignificant airpower. We won't be so fortunate the next time.
Furthermore those 11 CSG's are prime targets for budget cuts. Each one costs $5 Billion per year to operate; with no other significant sea power to oppose us, it will be hard to justify this level of expenditure on an overkill capability.

Finally China doensn't need or want to go to war with us. They own $900 Billion in U.S. bonds; their economy is directly attached to ours. If we sink, they go down with us.

in my opinion, yes, possibly in the coming months... whenever the Dollar loses its reserve currency status except some proverbial s*** to hit the fan.

we're screwed eventually.
