I love animals (non human ones since humans are an animal) more than humans. I'm sure animals share some of these qualities but humans take them to an intolerable level. Would the earth be better off without people? maybe some better animal will evolve and grow to dominate the planet that doesn't suck so much. I don't wish any ill will on any particular person, I don't want anyone to suffer, I want others and myself to be happy but actually it's my compassion that makes me notice these things.. it seems like qualities like compassion and actually WANTING others to be happy, not being a harsh ahole or racist, homophobic and not being a bully are the REASONS why humanity sucks so much and religion and politics just make everything worse. MOST people are very hard to like. (by humanity i mean myself as well, i'm sure i share in some of these qualities and don't realize it but sometimes it's just too much.)

What do you think?
I think you have "issues" that need to be explored.

No offense, but anyone who advocates the eradication of humanity, explicitly or implicitly, needs help right away. When you start to question humanity's existence and if it would be better off, it's time to check yourself in to the hospital.

hey philosphers and people who wonder about deep things like spirituality ask these questions all the time does that make them 'ill' or 'disturbed'. I think that you're being paranoid.

rlarson, i saw a documentary on the history channel something about "life after people" (something like that anyhow) and it was really fascinating so see all the difference that people do make in the world. it is definitely worth watching, to remind you of how we all contribute to the cycle of life.

we feed the animals and keep the cycles going. we plant trees and flowers and keep the buildings operational and maintained. i think in the video they said that pets would be the first to die off after us -particularly dogs, no surprise there

there are definitely some bad people out there, but i still think there are many more good people with good intentions out there. for every ugly story reported, there is a really heartwarming story out there also. (maybe not reported as much because if it bleeds it leads)

if you want to read an interesting book about the few remaining people standing in an apocalyse (imaginary of course) read "the road" by cormac mccarthy. it certainly will give you something to think about. it really was a story of good vs evil.

What do you think?

You need to either watch more porn or find a better group of friends to hang with.... or both.
