Maybe just maybe he felt he was trying to help the country to truly represent the interest of his constituency. They are obviously too stupid to think for themselves.

Agreed, but the Tea Party is almost exclusively comprised of lunatics.

Of course, the tea party won't execute people, but their eagerness to turn on one another is simply astounding. It's unsustainable in the long run. And if they destroy themselves...well...that's just fine by me.
I think this is spot on. They are modern day Jacobins who we now call terrorists.

I'm a conservative but enough is enough. Holding the country hostage for an unpassable budget amendment is insanity. John Mccain and Allen West have articulated my stance and attitude to the Tea Party's behavior accurately.

TP is self destructing?

Really?

Seriously?

They are holding together just fine, will likely pass the Boehner bill with a BBA attached.

The Tea Party is like the Mafia. If you don't toe the line 100% they will get rid of you. There is no compromise, or pragmatism, just ideology. The Tea Party is America's version of Mao's Red Guard.
are those the same people that busted into a doctors office and scream like a bunch of little girls!!!

I don't think the tea party is self-destructing at all - at least I hope it's not. The GOP is trying to figure out where it's headed, and there's a debate going on between the old stalwarts like Boehner and the new breed.

With that said, I do hope that Allen West's district can replace him with someone more dignified. I don't really care if it's a Republican or a Democrat.
