Charging rent to the SS to protect Biden's sorry and useless ass.
No more so then Michelle Bachmann using a Fannie Mae loan for her home, asking for government spending on pigs from her state, etc.
We can find individual problems with government, and point the fingers at what amounts to meaningless spending. I agree, the VP shouldn't have charged this money to the SS, but in the great scheme of things its a partisan post here.
Lets focus on the budget as a whole. Lets throw legislation into it saying "No government official may use any government program for any reason, or charge the government for anything" would that make you happy? It would mean about, oh, 100 million a year in a 15 trillion dollar government budget, but if that gets the ball rolling......

Much as I agree that Biden sucks I've got to be honest and place the blame on the whole political class. They've come to believe they're rulers rather than representatives and have long since forgotten they work for us.
Its the people that voted for him that are a problem.
Exactly. The party of welfare will not cease to stop supporting his ludicrous and insane plans that are destroying this nation. Instead of working hard for the money, they want promised handouts. They should all be put in jail.
If Biden didn't have such a property available for the Secret Service near his Wilmington home, the government would be paying money (such as rent) to someone else for the Secret Service to be near Biden to protect him.
If Biden had a rental property 3 states away, where it wouldn't make sense for the Secret Service to reside, Biden could rent it to tenants and get rental income just like anybody else with property can do in the free market economy.
What's the issue? As the Secret Service representative said, it's a rental property, so they pay rent.
Did you think the Secret Service live onsite in every residence of the people they protect? Or that the people they protect provide a secondary residence out of pocket?
