Rick Perry Not Following Jesus

Looks like Mr. Perry dont understand the truth and just look for reasons to deny Jesus than to accept.

And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. -Matthew 5: 5-6
First of all, Rick Perry is not praying in public nor on the streets. It's in a stadium. He's not trying to be seen by anyone. He's trying to get people to pray so we can have some blessings coming our way. A prayer day is not going to effect you or anyone else in this country. If you don't want to go, DON'T!! It's that simple!! Your country is about to go bankrupt and your worrying about a prayer day? The way this country is headed most people are soon going to be wishing for a prayer MONTH!! How are you going to feed your families? How are you going to pay the bills?! And your worried about a prayer day?! Something that has no effect on you whatsoever. Gays have a pride parade every damn year. They show themselves naked and all sorts of debauchery in the streets in families faces. They even have a month dedicated to them. That doesn't cause controversy but a prayer day does. An event where a bunch of Christians will be gathered together out of the public eye in a stadium to...pray. But this is cause for an uproar apparently.

I would, if well armed. All fall short of the glory of the lord, at least thats what I was taught growing up.

Kind of hard to live up to a, at least somewhat, imaginary figure though.

Like all Religions, the tenets vary to fit the desires of the creators of the religion, the people who feel the need to believe in whatever suits their current need.

Yes....did you not read my explanation of the Matthew 5 verse?? Jesus prayed publicly, too.

Motive....what is your motive??? The issue is this....if Rick's motive is to "show-off" then that is wrong. But the biggest issue is that YOU nor I know what is in his heart on that issue! Understand?
