Remeber that embarassing moment Barack had when he turned the podium over to Bill Clinton as if he turned the reins of president over to Bill. Even Bill looked surprised as Obama walked away saying something to the effect that Michelle would be upset with him if he didin't go right now.

Obama may not have said he is directly submissive to Michelle but he sure says so in how he behaves.

The topic isn't the Obamas but it's always R's fall back when they have no answer.

A. you sure read a lot into what was supposed to be a humorous situation.

B. How does that prove Obama is submissive to his wife? It sounded like NORMAL interactions between couples.

C. IF Obama was submissive to his wife why would that be any different than Bachmann being submissive to her husband?

Either way would be wrong, right?

Headcase

The photo of her on the cover of Newsweek makes her look like she was incarnated on earth from some psychotic planet in the outer cosmos. Being married to a self loathing pray the gay away cabaret queen must have done a number on her. Half of her campaigning is just scapegoating Obama. Then again clearly Obama knows a thing or two about submission, as recently shown in his political performance. It would be nice to see a leader with some optimistic ideas and solutions for economic health. Regardless of Democrat or Republican parties, there are too many lawyers in government. Lawyers get paid to argue. Knowledge of the law is obviously crucial, but the omnipresence of lawyers and lobbyists is beyond corrupt. We need a more diverse government with some engineers, architects, fiscally responsable accountants, scientists, more doctors, agricultural representation, etc. The two party system sucks. They're both stuck on stupid.

wow. now heres an educated post. Another far right idiotic assumption.

As an Indep why hate Bachmann? She lost the Indep. womens vote by saying her husband chose her career. What is it 1940?. Would be nice to have a candidate who thinks before they speak.

Bachmann gave a very nice answer. It's ironic that the liberals who are so worked up over this are the first ones to defend Sharia law and want to see it practiced in the U.S. Now that's female submission/male dominance in the most crude, barbaric form.

I'll borrow an apt phrase from Dreamofmonterey, ""now heres an educated post. Another far right idiotic assumption.""

-1

nor want to see it practiced in the US

Are you familiar with the election in Oklahoma that prohibited Sharia law from being practiced in the state? The voters overwhelmingly passed it. Yet it was liberals judges, yes liberals that overturned the will of the people.

Discussing Sharia law is off topic but you are confusing me because repug/neocons , like Bachmann, approve of male dominance....so why wouldn't they approve of Sharia law???

You guys should make up your minds.....

Repubs approve of male dominance...case closed. Women vote by the way. Thats how McCain lost the Indep. womens vote in 2008, by picking some1 as a running mate who was clueless.

She may have given a "very nice answer" but she didn't answer the question that was asked. She evaded the question. We still don't know if she would be willing to make a decision on behalf of our nation if her husband opposed or objected to what she thought was the best thing to do. Could she go against his wishes and still be true to her Evangelical Christian beliefs of a wife being submissive to her husband?
