Have you forgotten that Ross Perot would have WON the Presidency, if everyone who wanted to vote for him--but thought he "didn't have a chance"--had voted for him? We blew our chance at reforming irresponsible government then; let's not allow the political powers-that-be to manipulate us again into continued decline and inevitable collapse.

The political establishment is terrified that he will win. This is why they do their best to deny him air time, marginalize him, slander him, and pretend he is too "radical" for America.

If he doesn't have a "chance in hell" of winning, why does he come in first, or in a virtual tie with first, in most polls? The only polls he doesn't do well in are the ones where the respondents are limited to those who won't support a real reform movement.

It is more than absurd that they try to characterize Ron Paul as "radical" or "marginal," when he supports the principles of small and fiscally responsible government, the exact ideas of Thomas Jefferson, and the principles our nation was founded on. Was Thomas Jefferson a radical? I find him the voice of common sense; no wonder the modern Republicrat Party, which is extremely left of center, does their best to propagandize against him.

The powers-that-be are terrified that Ron Paul might get elected, and stop the idiotic and bankrupting foreign wars that do nothing but incite terrorism against us, while forcing the American workers to pay to protect the prosperity of other nations. They would hate it if Ron Paul took away the massive Big Government that crushes small business, so that Big Business can take all the wealth and have thousands of unemployed competing for every minimum-wage, 80-hour a week job. The political powers-that-be LOVE their taxpayer funded lifestyle, flying around in jets and living lives of complete luxury, while ordering us peons to commute to work and conserve gas by staying at home on our once-a-year vacation.

Ron Paul is the ONLY politician who will actually CHANGE things in Washington, as he has worked to do for decades, despite staunch opposition by the corrupt Big Government Washington clique. Those who voted for the totally-unknown and inexperienced Obama, who promised "Hope and Change," should learn their lesson and next time vote for the guy who actually "walks the walk" in Washington, rather than just makes empty promises to get elected.

Right, how could anyone support those crazy Thomas Jefferson-loving, Founding Fathers-quoting, anti-foreign war, limited federal power, pro-fiscally responsible government radicals? After all, a limited and frugal government is exactly the same a no government at all, right?

I'm sure most Americans want more of the same Big Government owned by Big Business, all paid for by the working class taxpayer, with lots of foreign wars and infinite government borrowing and currency devaluation! That's the path to prosperity! The problem is just that government isn't big enough, or expensive enough yet--if we just gave it ALL our money, the economy would suddenly be healthy and prosperous!

Right.

I agree. And when Ron Paul drops out, you just know his supporters will all be blaming "the media" for it.

May I ask the question: if they didn't vote for him then and instead picked the one that polished up nicley but did absolutely nothing to prevent the current days events; wouldn't you think it's time to change your priorities in what constitutes a viable candidate? Just asking.

Obviously; speaking skills and charisma haven't been working so great as benchmarks by which to choose a POTUS.

The Republican Party may give the election over to Obama. Why?... tough times ahead and Obama will really mess it up the next four years. We don't know what the higher ups are thinking. They may pass and give it away to Obama who will never be able to straighten things out.. it is not so much the economy as a whole. It is the housing industry that employs many people and the overspending by our government in the good times. Without building homes , unemployment has no where to go but stagnate.

Banks are in trouble and many more foreclosures coming with a new wave in the near future. The banks have many foreclosures still on their books that are not selling.

Obama is over his head as far as getting us out of this crisis. He is not capable. Obama just doesn't get it.

I haven't studied Ron Paul very much but am beginning to do so. Although I will vote for any one of the GOP candidates who runs against Obama, I like what I see in Ron Paul so far.

Ron Paul would be the breath of fresh air so desperately needed in DC. And I agree, the media marginalizes him at every turn.

Before you get too carried away with the statistics, remember that only 23% of Americans voted for Obama in 2008 (69,456,987 votes out of 301,621,157 Americans) and he won the Presidency.

And the fact that I'd never even heard of Ron Paul in 2008, despite having Libertarian views since my early 30s, says a lot about how little he was known back then. People are a LOT more educated now, and realize that our nation was FOUNDED on the principle of small and fiscally responsible government. When Big Government grew to 40% of the entire economy and became a servant of Big Business, our nation and economy began a rapid decline. And that won't stop until we fix the problem of a government far too large for the taxpayer to support.

And don't forget, much of Obama's support in 2008 was due to his loud criticism of Bush's warmongering and insane spending on pointless wars. In 2008, most taxpayers were thoroughly sick of Bush spending all his time and energy waging wars overseas, as our nation and economy was foundering here at home. We THOUGHT Obama was going to stop bankrupting us with stupid wars; who'd have thought he'd be such a pasty to the Military-Industrial Complex that the day after his inauguration, he'd do a complete 180 and now start even MORE pointless, unwinnable wars?

We now know that ONLY Ron Paul will stand up to the Military-Industrial War Machine, and stop wasting trillions of dollars that we don't have. Both the Democrat Party, and the Republican Party, are firmly under the control of the Military Empire. We don't even defend our own borders, but both parties use cries of "We need a strong Defense!" as if starting yet another war in Libya or Syria had ANYTHING to do with Defending America.

If you really want a strong Defense of America, you should ONLY support Ron Paul--because nothing will hurt our future more than continuing to bankrupt ourselves with multiple foreign wars, all of which serve to incite terrorism rather than vanquish it. And with our nation being sold to foreigners via government debt or outright sale of assets, and virtually open borders with no attempt to go after illegal immigration, right now we could not be more vulnerable to foreign take-over.

Obama may do better with another term, merely because he no longer has to worry about re-election.
