Garcia, 20, said she called police after an episode of domestic violence to seek help finding a shelter for herself and her 1-year-old daughter, but instead wound up detained and was put into deportation proceedings.
"Calling 911 was the worst nightmare I could suffer in my life," she said in Spanish.

If you have no business in this Country and you call the authorities you risk to be detained...first of all this woman is a criminal for entering the Country without legal papers and than to think she will get help for the violence in her life, was a stretch, but bassicaly she got help and is now out of the violent relatioship and safe...so a win win situation.
I paid thousands to get here in a legal way and our background was checked, thats the way to come here, not through the backdoor or overstaying and then expecting to get help without a risk...what did she expect, a golden handshake and a greencard?
