And how come after 8 years of GWB and Repub admin for most of it the country wasnt filled with abundance of money and jobs.
Before Obama even got inaugurated Wall Street was in the Crapper, The American auto industry was about to go bankrupt. and unimployment was at 10%..
Yeah i guess the repub's wernt so great..Seems to me old GWB got us into most of the mess we're in then the current GOP wont let the new President fix the problems they created..
Astounds me after their previous track record that so many on this forum really want the repubs back in power with an even more inferior group of political players to ultimately finish the hack job they started back in January 20, 2001.

If that's how it seems to you then you won't have any problem citing the Bush poilices that "got us into most of this mess". Please state the date they were encated and who controlled congress at those times.

Also, please cite the Obama initiatives that would have put us in a better position but were stopped by filibusters.

After you've done that we can continue the conversation.

Thanks

When Bush took office, unemployment was 4.2% and rising.

The United States Unemployment Rate (http://www.miseryindex.us/urbymonth.asp?StartYear=2000-10&EndYear=2011-07&submit1=Create+Report - broken link)

The reason it was rising is because the economy was already in declined before Bush took office.

United States GDP Annual Growth Rate

So is Clinton responsible for leaving a declining economy for Bush?

That's exactly what I thought. I've asked the same question many times and it leaves the Obama supporters dead in the water each and every time.

Thanks for posting.

The fact that "The First BLACK President" is even in the title of this thread raises questions.

If you're gonna thrash Obama (which half of you would do anyway even if the thread was titled "Obama drinks coffee at Starbucks") then go ahead. It's all political b.s. that you felt the need to take out a few minutes out of your day for(more than likely because you're bored or someone pissed you off you feel the need to take it out on a president in an online forum), and that's understandable. The country and the world for that matter is failing, and we need answers and better leaderership (not JUST from Obama, btw), and it's very understandable to be angry.

BUT, don't bring the man's appearance into this. If it truly doesn't matter what his race is and you really don't want to get into that, then don't bring it up in the first place.

Well i will tell you in my very good black friend's words what he said the other night, don't like what he said take it up with him. He will go toe to toe with any of ya. He said dang Obama, has screwed things up royally for any decent black educated Politicial figure in our future running for the candidacy for Presidency. Dang him. And then he said he was not the right black Man for this job.

He can admit things, his family voted for Obama, but they are so disgusted, with how he is handling things or i should say his words, not handling things. He is a very educated man, with his own business, nice home beautiful area, college educated and can't be swayed by media hype. Oh and very good looking.

He himself said to me, as the first Black Presdient, i am not happy with the job at hand he has done, he has failed the people, and he has failed those he made promises to, What Hope, that is what he said on Sat nite.

His appearance? LOL

Did you even read the link in the OP? Harry Reid hand-picked the guy as a three-pronged offense: Get Hillary out of the Senate, Deny Hillary the Presidency, Elect the First BLACK President.

His skin color was VERY much apart of the plan. And now that he's proven to be the worst leader we've had in many decades, its very possible that he will go down as the worst President in American history....who happens to also be black.

Chew on that for a while and then come back and tell us how he's NOT a political pawn of the Democratic establishment.

Oh God. Is this about Obama or Harry Reid? Because what I got from that article was HARRY REID as a liar and possible bigot (like most politicians). Several people picked Obama NOT because of his skin color, but because of the other option or what he believe in. I doubt him being a "light skined" black man with "no Negro dialect" was the main reason why he became president.

And you completely missed the point of what I said. Again, that article wasn't MAINLY about race, it was about Harry Ried. And regardless of what the article is about, do YOU have to throw in his race? You can criticize all you want, but do you have to throw in "he happens to also be black?" I can trash Dubya WITHOUT sayin, '... he just so happens be Republican'. Or, '... he just so happens to be Conservative.' Or, '.... he just so happens to be Texan' (which is complete B.S. btw).

BTW, EVERY president is a pawn regardless of party. They're the only ones who will kiss enough ass to advance to that position. And for you to say that Obama could be the worst president we've ever had, I guess you forget about Andrew Johnson....
