Not quite getting this, considering Gays comprise 2- 4% (or 10% if you really want to stretch it) of the population, why would 55% of TV shows present Gay themes??? Do you know what your children are watching???
let's see, gay agenda, hollywood.......no brainer. It doesn't matter what your values are you're pretty much outnumbered by all those great hollywood stars, producers, exectutives, advertising agencies.........{sigh}

Not sure how this is a bad thing? Not even sure why it is being measured.
Glaad and others want to change public perception of gays by promoting them as parents, teachers, cops, soldiers, 'the rich tapestry of the LGBT community.'
I've wondered what's wrong with tv lately and this reports answers my question--- not enough black gay men or transgender images and themes.
More homofascists hellbent on extinguishing the human race by recruiting our children into the lifestyle. Those who value life, God, and the Good need to unite against the homothreat.

Interesting. Imagine that...TV not portraying reality--sad. I wish LGBT well, I have no problem with 'real life' on TV.

Are you serious? "Pretty Little Liars" and "Glee" are very popular with tweens and teens. "Glee" lunchboxes, backpacks and notebooks can be found anywhere back to school supplies are sold. The White House had the cast of "Glee" perform at the annual White House Easter Egg Hunt. "Glee" is reported to be a favorite show of the FLOTUS and her daughters. You can find glossy magazines in your grocery store, with articles telling of the male casts' favorite "man dates." Some public schools even have "Glee" sponsored talent contests. Like it or not, these shows are being watched by our children and homosexuality is being romanticized and normalized.

Newsflash: There are non-gay people who enjoy watching shows containing gay characters. I am assuming your TV gets more than one channel, correct?

You know, if gays are 4% of the population, and each has an average of 12 relatives (siblings, parents, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins...and each also has a dozen or a hundred colleagues or classmates, and neighbors...way more than 55% of us see "portrayals" of gays in our real lives.
Most of us of a certain age remember in decades past, people in older generations expresing beliefs about different ethnicities or races--things that would sound hideous if said today. And I am talking good people, apple-cheeked grannies and kind uncles. Some of you are heading into the same situation, society is passing you by. More and more people understand that it would make as much sense to stigmatize blue-eyed people with small noses, or some other set of attributes that they were born with. Think about it. Live and let live.
Oh noes, our children might be exposed to GAY PEOPLE!!! They're gonna CATCH THE GAY!!!
How will we ever teach them to properly hate gays if they think they're just regular people??? DEATH OF DEMOCRACY!!!
