Per CNN, the military is all ready to go. I would bet that when the deep south gets hit with another cat 5, they will be waiting days again for bottled water. Just food for thought.

I didn't realize that Bush was the Mayor or New Orleans or the Governor of Louisiana.

In all fairness, he did appoint someone who's only executive experience was heading some Arabian horse association to the head of FEMA. I think most Americans were shocked at the ineptitude of the goverment(from federal down to local) during/after Katrina.

I don't normally watch news channels, but a couple mins ago, a woman reporting on CNN said, "We don't want to see another Katrina."

You're kidding right? It would be some sort of doomsday scenario for Irene to become a Cat 5. Morons...

I still recall Bush telling the people of New Orleans and Louisiana 5 days ahead of time to get out, evacuate and they still didn't get out.

Cut the government some slack. What kind of fool knowingly and willfully stays when a storm of Katrina's magnitude is headed their way. It's not like it popped up out of nowhere and they had 5 hours warning.
