Here's just one example of the kneejerk sloppiness of the first article you posted:
...[The] rebels seem to hold on to the delusion that there is no way a single Libyan could actually support Gaddafi and thus the only people still loyal to the now-underground leader are mercenaries. This is far from the truth and has been proven as such time and time again.
Eh...the rebels are perfectly willing to kill Libyans who support Qadaffi. That's what a civil war is. They don't need to concoct stories of imaginary mercenaries when they are quite justified in killing or capturing their enemies like any other army is--moreso, since they are now the legitimate government of Libya, recognized as such formally by 68 nations and informally by most others.
And they are perfectly capable of killing them and blaming the murders on Gaddafi, such as their claim that Gaddafi killed his supporters because they refused to fire on the rebels. There isn't one iota of proof for those statements - therefore I don't believe them. The rebels are the ones creating the mass graves, then claiming Gaddafi did it. That makes more sense.
Think the NATO supported "rebels" give a rat's *** ?
If their main aim is to kill their enemies and win the war in which they are involved, then yes, I think they do.
Of course, there are some racists in any army, just like to some Americans in Vietnam, any "gooks" were legitimate targets. But unlike Americans in Vietnam who didn't know or care about why they were sent, all the rebels are volunteers who joined specifically in order to effect the ouster of Qadaffi.
