It just doesn't seem to me that people here should bother giving you any proof or consideration after you make statements like that and then ignore people when they point out the reality of the situation.

What was the Senate Majority?

Here is the SENATE voting record on NAFTA

U.S. Senate: Legislation & Records Home > Votes > Roll Call Vote

Don't get me wrong, it was definitely bi-partisan with generally more republican than democratic support....there is just a lot of amnesia 18 years later about who voted for it and so on and so forth.

I was personally shocked by the big name Senate Democrats that voted pro-NAFTA (Nunn, Daschle, Kerry, Lieberman, Kennedy, Biden....). Big names that were anti-NAFTA were Reid and Hillary, Rockefeller, Wellstone etc.

United States Senate elections, 1992 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

So basically....the house, senate and presidency were all democratic controlled when NAFTA was passed.

Curse you George Bush!!!!! It's all your fault. I'd now like to ask all the union members present to contribute as I pass the hat around so that we can keep those Republicans from hurting American jobs!

Grrrrrrrr. I have several uncles that lost their union jobs to NAFTA, my dad held on long enough to get early retirement.

There is nothing stopping Detroit from implementing its own plan.

Why should the rest of the states taxpayers pay for Detroit's problems?

Maybe all those who want the Gov to take care of them will go to MA They give the welfare recipients cars and cell phones.

Free cars for poor fuel road rage

Gov. Deval Patrick’s free wheels for welfare recipients program is revving up despite the stalled economy, as the keys to donated cars loaded with state-funded insurance, repairs and even AAA membership are handed out to get them to work.

But the program - fueled by a funding boost despite the state’s fiscal crash - allows those who end up back on welfare to keep the cars anyway.

“It’s mind-boggling. You’ve got people out there saying, ‘I just lost my job. Hey, can I get a free car, too?’ ” said House Minority Leader Brad Jones (R-North Reading).

Please point out where in my post I stated that. Sheesh. The reverse, however, is true. Most illegals are hispanic. Take that for what it's worth, k?
