So....the frantic and baseless fear of some ignorant people is Obama's fault? Yeah, I don't think it has anything to do with that whole second Amendment thing...

I'd speculate Ruger is doing well partly because the relatively recent introduction of their compact line of concealable defense pistols (eluded to in the article), the LCP (.380 ACP), LC9 (9mm), and model LCR (.38 Special or .357), which are among the most compact designs on the market.

Three companies (Kel-Tec, Ruger, and Diamondback), as of lately, have produced some of the most compact concealable defense handguns ever to come to market, and there has been a tremendous amount of 'buzz' in that market segment, for that reason.

Diamondback (DB9 and DB380) has the most compact models currently on the market [but suffer from early quality issues - they jam a lot, and the slide pin pops out occasionally], but Kel-Tec and Ruger compacts being just a smidgen larger, are of much better quality.

Ironically, if Rick Perry (or any other Republican) becomes President, the gun industry will be worse off, financially.

Manufacture fear, creative false narratives, and people will buy. Right wing media runs on this, as well.

If Obama was going to take away your guns, why didn't he do it when the Democrats had a huge majority in Congress? How convenient that even after 2 and a half years of nothing, he has some OMG SECRET PLANZ. It's over. You right wingers we're wrong. Move on...

Obama hasn't added any new gun laws and has actually signed bills that loosen or grant new gun laws. The gun industry is doing a good job of scaring conservatives into buying more guns. I bet they are laughing all the way to the bank.
