And not one single vegetable item, no foods that need preparation other than a microwave or boiling water. Even the meats are already prepared and frozen, like Tyson chicken fingers. Is it that hard to just make food? It is cheaper to get veggies and fruits and raw meats anyway. You waste our tax payers dollars on complete junk, because to you, it tastes good and it's free. Lazy and greedy people is what is ruining America.
I worked for Publix as a cashier for two and a half years and saw something totally different.

At the Hunters Creek Publix, people who had food stamps always bought fine steaks, organic fruits and veggies, and the most expensive products our store had, some went for those who were on WIC, and often times these people had a rotten attitude about it, as if that food was owed to them

What really made my blood boil seeing all this? Watching them drive off in Escalades, Infiniti's, Bimmers, Merecdes, you name it, if the car cost $35+, they drove it, meanwhile I was making $900 a month after taxes and was denied food stamps four times in Florida, and struggling to pay my rent, car, car insurance, gas, cell , and food

Why doesn't the government spend a few hundred million on hiring some auditors for these social programs ? Certainly, we can save billions in the long run from all of the scamming that's going on ...

Yeah, right! It's not on the FCAT. It doesn't matter.

Stove top cooking...45-90 minutes

Microwave....10-20 minutes

Not to defend the obviously poor nutrition choices, but when you have to pay for the electric power....
BS. I can put together a healthy, nutritious homecooked meal on the stove top in 15 minutes. Total cost $10 and feeds four adults. Chicken breast, tomatoes, spinach, olive oil, serve over whole grain pasta.

Plenty of non-EBT shoppers spend their money on junk food. You just notice it more when it's EBT users. People love to judge EBT users. Yes, believe it or not, EBT users are human beings, and yes, some of them like their Cheetos and Coke too.

And some of them are too big to even push a cart because of all the crap they buy and eat, and they have to make everything difficult on me by making me put it into another cart because the electric carts cannot go outside. I like the law where you can only have food stamps for four years in Wisconsin, that is long enough for you to find a job! As for all of those other expenses, the coupons they use take off of the paper and cleaning products for some stupid reason! If they have $50 in paper products and $50 in coupons (for food products) the paper products are free!
I know it's easy to put people in boxes, but a lot of the people who really need food stamps use them to buy junk, and a lot of them who don't use them to buy healthy food. It's not like the world is divided into the Moochers and the Truly Disabled.

I bought junk food on food stamps, as a disabled person who really needed them (and who stopped getting them as soon as soon as I could), because it was the only kind of food I had access to. The only store I could get to was the Dollar Store and junk food is the only kind of food they sold. The most substantial thing they sold was Ramen. I ate myself sick on Ramen but I just had no way to get to the Walmart down a highway 6 miles away, deaf-blind, with no sidewalks, tall grass, no car, no ride, and a Paratransit system that never answered their phone.

Isn't that what is taught in Home Economics class in high school?

"Coffee is for closers". I say these people should be getting basic staples ONLY. The cards should not be used for anything but generic or uncooked items.

What if people don't have access to the specific list of food items that Let's Rock deems appropriate?

The fact is that junk food is much more available than healthy food. If you want EBT users to eat healthier, make healthy food as readily available as junk food.
