I don't really get the significance of this. Bush was an OK president, obama is a terrible president. Of course the media wants to portray some sort of equivalence to prop up their standard-bearer.
What should worry obama supporters is public perceptions of their guy vs. Clinton. Everything Clinton did to save his presidency, obama is doing the exact opposite.
With this trickle down economy brought to us by Obama, how can his numbers not be where they are, as time and things get worse, his numbers will plummet. Economy not getting better for some time, my investor even told me this months ago, and guess what, he was right. Infact he told me, to get ready for a pretty bad economy, no matter what we are being told, that things are going to get worse. If he is wrong, i will admit this. But this was many many months agao, over 6 months, and things have not improved.
Not good news for the president, though very little is nowadays. He's got a real problem with independents..and his effort to appeal to them by caving to Republican demands and moving further to the right seems to have only made things worse..
When you take into account the unemployment figures (no president since FDR has been reelected with unemployment above 7.2%) and Obama's current approval ratings, it's pretty obvious he is in big trouble..
At least Americans are waking up to the fact that Obama is a Bush clone. Those on the left need to stop worrying about a GOP Presidency, because honestly what good has Obama been? Would a Romney Presidency really be any worse? At least those on the left wouldn't be under any illusion that anyone is looking out for them and stop settling for less.
What's weird is, as you say, Obama has continued many of Bush's policies, breaking campaign promises left and right along the way...yet you have the mindless partisans on both sides completely ignoring it. The Republicans go about claiming Obama is some kind of socialist, and you have the Democrats claiming he's brought great change.
Obviously, neither is true...but the party cheerleaders could care less. They wait for their respective party's talking points so they know what to think, treat every election like it's some kind of sports competition (my team "good", your team "bad")..while the real issues and the truth take a backseat..
Actually, it's not that neither are true. Both are true.
Obama has continued Bush's war on terrorism, but he has also circumvented Congress to start an illegal war with Libya while ignoring the real threat in Iran.
Unlike Bush he borrowed money from China to reward union supporters, and then there's Obamacare.
He is a combination of the worst aspects of Bush plus a hard-core Marxist.

Please, Obama is a center-right politician for the most part, but mainly he's just a corporatist hack.

Obama is not center-right... please don't lie about it to make yourself feel better about failed policies that are of YOUR political persuasion... running around screaming liberalism is good to drown out the truth is being stupid...
Perhaps some of those whom voted for him, are just plain tired of the lies! look we were all promised a new kind of politics, and what did we get, more of the same old same old, as we are use too. We got nothing more then promises, because those whom were so eager to believe, would be at his beck and call, but some are finally waking up. Actually a lot of people i know who voted for him, don't want part of him a second time go round.
Obama beats to the tune of his own drum, and do not cross the line.
No he's not. A radical leftist would be someone like Noam Chomsky, or to a lesser extent, Ralph Nader or Dennis Kucinich..
Obama is center right. Real nice choice we have...the corporatist MIC controlled extreme right or the corporatist MIC controlled center right..
