I think climate change is real but these carbon trading schemes like cap and trade are a wealth transfer scam that would do little to stop global warming yet make Goldman Sachs a fortune. The markets are completely artificial and highly manipulated and are used as a political tool to sway congress.
Of course "climate change" is real. It's been happening for tens and even hundreds of millions of years.
If the climate stopped changing, that would be abnormal.
If the US thinks that Americans are responsible for plugging into every sh*thole in this planet, like helping every Asian state to remove dictators, feeding every african person who is hungry, helping whoever and bombing whatever, why should't they feel responsible for sustainable planet as well? Americans poke their nose in every problem in the world, donate money to every african state who is starving. bombs every dictator and go after every world terrorist guy, but when it comes to a sustainable development..
why should they point fingure to China and say: this is not our duty, this is up to China to stop polluting first???
While it is China who may be polluting, it is the Americans who consume at least half of their goods, in the end. But even that is besides the point.
Stop pointing fingure to somebody else in matters of environment, if you think you should poke your nose to everything in every other matter.
Does it really matter if there is global warming or not?
We have to stop polluting. We should not shift the burden of our consumptions on future generations, thus develop SUSTAINABLY. We should STOP DEFORESTATION. Why on earth does that matter if there is global warming or not? We should develop sustainably. Future generations should not inherit just garbage fields. We should not STEAL FROM FUTURE GENERATIONS. Period.
Really? We are already changing our planet's ecosystems through habitat destruction via human growth. Why is it such a big jump that we can't, as a planet with nearly 7 billion people and growing, affect the whole planet with our growth? You are not, remember Mt Saint Helen in Washington went off and they said in a day it shot off more stuff into the air than man ever could in three years.
You don't think you are being the least bit disingenuous with the whole "communist" stick? No, the communist movement with it's social and economic justice has killed millions of people so far, there is little love for it. You find the same agenda as the communist being set forth through the Democrat party and communists such as those at Communism USA. Seriously, come on, don't be so ignorant to just blatantly generalize the issue and pass it off as sound reasoning.
Really, don't worry about overcrowding. Should be a plague or war that should thin the herd if you go by history.

The sun will slowly keep getting hotter over time which is normal for stars to do that and is unstoppable. Humans do make our planet hotter though and a easy to see example of that is the urban heat island effect.
Another well thought, intelligent response from evilnewbie. Congrats bro, you get a smiley
Well perhaps you can count the number of times I have referred to any partisan term in this thread to validate your claim. You seem to be practically peeing in your pants every time you get to belittle a liberal or someone who doesn't agree with you.
It is not an agree-disagree scenario.
Truth is not selective, nor is it subjective, nor is it relative.
You think the Hiesenberg principle applies to politics, when invoked?

What does Mt Saint Helens have to do with habitat destruction across the globe? So I guess we should wait for a pandemic or World War 3 so we stop over consuming huh?

Or, when pro . . I say, Or when provoked?
Have you adopted the brain of Bill O'Reilly?
I think your feelings are a little hurt from the other thread when I called out reasoning. I'll give you some time alone.
