Soros fails to quash inside

[LEFT]George Soros, the billionaire hedge fund manager, has lost a case at the European Court of Human Rights to have his criminal conviction for insider dealing quashed.
The failed appeal at announced in a 4-3 decision the Strasbourg-based court.

This is a 2002 conviction, and considering they waited 14 years for the case (as it was in 1988) that doesn't seem like good faith by anyone. He already paid the fine, and (I quote):

"In 1988, he was asked to join a takeover attempt of the French bank Société Générale. He declined to participate in the bid but later bought a number of shares in the company."

I guess that's insider trading.

That's really a stretch, even for you.

yep;its insider trade bu likely by your discription. But with the conviction and confirmation on appeal its confirm. that is now law and conviction works.Its a strach to say he is still innocent really.

Yeah, I know... its so corrupt... People have brought it up in the past about specific rules that ban Congress from insider trading... it was killed by Congress... It would be unethical for me to accept vacations, gifts, etc from corporations but not so for Congress... I really dislike double standards...
