That was my thinking too.

We need more capitalism not less. This "we need more free stuff" thing is a dead-end.
Your original claim was that they hate America. Now you're complaining that they have the wrong goals.

When you have a problem with America, it's because you're a patriot. When someone else does, it's because they hate America. Got it.

I do not believe tea party is for corporate socialism which is all GOP has to offer, and which is what the 99% crowd protests against.

Except for Texas, every red state in America receives more tax revenue than it pays in. The rest of the states that pay more taxes than they receive (therefore subsidizing the others) are liberal. The Tea Party dominated states are wholly subsidized by their liberal counterparts and without them they'd have up to 50% of what little they already have to work with in many cases.

Mississippi would have HALF the money to put towards schools, infrastructure, fire, police, local municipality assistance, etc.
These states do their share of borrowing, even Texas..............

Here's the money borrowed from federal government, and some states are near bankrupt.
Just like we do to China, we borrow and give it to other people/countries, and pay the interest on borrowed money.

I look at the OWS and the Tea Party, and I see a lot of confusion from both sides about how our government actually operates, and what is going wrong.

However, I also see the opportunity to compromise to make some changes that truly benefit "the 99%", and no I am not referring to socialism. Both sides generally oppose the bailouts, both sides realize there are problems with monetary policy and tax policy.

Maybe there is just something wrong with your characterization.

They may disagree on some issues, like socialism, but there is commonality between the two movements.

Neither movement likes where 0bama is taking the country.

Both movements are outraged over the billions in crony capitalism and political cronyism going on in the 0bama administration.

Both the Tea party and Flea party movements are upset over the unemployment situation, the huge debt, and deficit spending.

But they part ways when it comes to bowel movements in public. If the Tea party folks are called teabaggers, then the OWS crowd are the fleabaggers

It is also my understanding that both sides want out of the ME.
