When a poll goes their way, it's always correct and they proudly show it off
When a poll doesn't go their way, it's always "totally meaningless"

Absolutely it will. The #2 biggest spending and policy that tanked the economy next to the wars was the taxcuts to the rich. The right have had over 10 years of their disastrous policy that has done absolutely nothing but destroy the economy.
By even stronger numbers, over 70% of the american people think the rich should pay their fair share and to end the insane handouts and giveaways to the rich and big business on taxpayer dime.
The GOP has had their chance and as usual they have done nothing but destroy the economy to keep the top of the ladder living the high life, while the rest of america suffers. It's time to enact some real policies that work
Just not true, unemployment was low until around 2007-2008...menaing a good 7-8 yrs. You distort the truth by taking a single point in time and use that to characterize 10 yrs of policy....and many things caused the financial problems we are having....

ANd it should be voted down...we want a private sector jobs bill..not a public sector bill..and why should one group of people pay for someone elses job...people could go along with this if exisitng budgets were reprioritized and used to pay for this...

When one has their own bills to pay, they do not say...huum, let me charge it to pay for something..no ..the smart person says, I will prioritize what I am paying for first with my existing income..its that simple.

Teachers and 1st Responders ARE NOT the responsibility of the federal government.

That is just a bonehead comment...see my posts. People want private sector jobs, and the use of current revenue..no one should see a tax increase...

Yes, people want jobs. That's why a majority of Americans want to see Obama's jobs act passed. I agree.

Honestly? Clinton and Bush are both responsible for the mess we're in right now because of deregulation of the financial industry, Obama walked into the mess, and the fighting on both sides has made it impossible to get anything done since the day he was elected. I have zero confidence that congress--either side--has the ability to fix this, and I think we're in trouble. I'm beginning to think it doesn't even matter if we vote, because it's just going to be same old, same old. Until we get regs back on the banks, and until we get politicians out of the back pockets of big business and the financial industry, nothing will change.
