I completely agree with this. Maddow's delivery is indeed painful. I sit in bewilderment when I watch her, wondering how on Earth anyone on the Left can NOT be agonized by her. They put her on a pedestal because they perceive her to be insanely smart.....I on the other hand feel like i'm watching a college TV station with struggling TV anchors.

Maybe that explains why he's a lightweight. A person who has principled conviction usually doesn't switch teams just because it's convenient. I guess even he doesn't know what he stands for. I'm amazed that he still has a show on MSNBC to be honest. It's not a very productive hour from a news commentary standpoint, IMO.

Just shows you that there are Progressives on both sides of the isle. Ones stacked with them and one that leans that direction, with just a hint of morals.

I'd be more than happy to see the guest list of "rightwing" contributors that are brought onto the show. I watch MSNBC nearly everyday after work just to hear what the kooks on the left are saying, and I very rarely see or hear anyone espousing conservative counterpoints. And when some remote opportunity arises to hear a conservative speak, its usually the lightest of lightweights that they bring on. Ed Schultz is particularly good at this. Why? Because he's a lightweight himself. If he brought on conservative heavy-hitters, he'd get thoroughly abused on his own show.

Matthews may be the only talking head at MSNBC that gives conservatives a voice. But lets be clear, it's an ever so slight voice. And he routinely turns to strawman arguments when the contributor gains the upper hand.
MSNBC has legitimate right counters on all the time like former RNC chair Michael Steele, staunch old school conservative Pat Buchanan, Bachmann's former campaign strategist,...I've even seen SE cupp on there a few times. Even just yesterday they had one of the tea party leaders from dick armey's radical right wing freedomworks on. There's also two republican shows with morning joe and dylan ratigan.
Fox is well known for having no-name, softball people from the left on and rarely anyone else just to use as punching bags. They also like to throw their propaganda in as well you will notice they never say "democratic" contributor, they will say "here is liberal contributor,.."
Also as far as Schultz, he's called out Limbaugh to his show numerous times and he always refuses.

Nah he's still pretty conservative but his populism gets him labeled with Team Blue more often than not. You're right though, he's definitely a businessman above all else.

You're joking?

Fox ALWAYS has a balance between right and left.

MSNBC....not so much.

Shultz and doberman, before he was canned, never had conservatives on their shows.

There is a good reason why MSNBC's prime time line up .....the same reason Left talk radio went belly up...they represent a FRINGE viewpoint in this country.

Best not to forget that.

Did anyone else ever notice that if you don't watch any of this crap, you miss absolutely nothing? Both right and left wing television seem to find issues to harp on just to fill the airwaves. If you don't see any of it, they just aren't issues of any consequence which matter in one's life.

And no, i am not talking about burying one's head in the sand with regard to important news that should be weighed by all of us. Just saying that most of these left and right wing shows are 'just entertainment' designed to feed the trolls from either side...no different that catering to history buffs, sports enthusiasts, or folks who watch sit coms.

Have you ever watched Morning Joe? It's the best, most balanced and intelligent political debate on television anywhere right now. If you just want to hear what you already agree with, you probably won't like it. Both sides are debated calmly and professionally--it makes you think.

Best get back to your Fox entertainment channel..
Entitlements? whats that about, i thought we were discussing your perceptions of MSNBC. I feel you're holding a lot back, may as well let it all hang out,it'll make you feel better..
Funny how the left does the same thing NAME CALLING its their only defense. At least Tea Partiers are clean employed and pick up after themselves. All news media except Fox are Obama cheerleaders.Don't see much of Obama's dirty laundry on MSNBC or any other Obamavision news outlets.Fast & Furious to the left are those drone strikes...unemployment and welfare is economic stimulus...OWS is the TP of the Dimos.

Hey where is Nancy Pelosi on OWS is it ASTROTURF ?

How about Nazi's ? Yup they are for the OWS

Socialists Communists? They are there along with Unions [Where ever you find a socialist you will find their commie cousins and union thugs]

Fair and Balanced? A one eyed monkey with half a brain can see the difference between Fox and the rest...TP ers and OWS ers.
